Dear Family and Friends,
We just spent a wonderful weekend with Bob's brother, Matt. Bob has been concerned for awhile about how he could share his testimony with his brother. Matt has not been interested and sometimes less than friendly towards the subject of Mormonism. Last Wednesday, Bob put Matt's name on the prayer roll of the temple. Thursday, Matt called and asked what we were doing over the weekend. A planned business trip fell through and he and his wife, Danielle, wanted to come for a visit.
They were both open and willing to visit the sites and go to a concert with us Sunday evening. We took them to 7 sites in Nauvoo and then over to Carthage. Carthage was very busy and we had hoped to give them a personal tour. It was truly a miracle when there was a gap in the visitors and we got that wish. We gave the tour and Bob bore a strong testimony in the martyrdom room of the Book of Mormon and the prophet Joseph Smith. I know they were both touched.
Sunday evening we went to a concert performed by the Young Performing missionaries. The music was so angelic. Again I believe they felt the Holy Ghost. We never expected something so powerful to happen. The Lord answers prayers. We just need to ask.

We continue to practice our parts for "Sunset on the Mississippi" and serve in the sights. It's getting busier by the day. I have been training young sister missionaries each day at the different places. We, that have been here for a while, are doing the best we can to help and support these lovely, young sisters. They are so willing to listen and learn.
Hope you are all well and happy. We love you and you are in our prayers.
Elder and Sister Long
